  • We are an MAI Action Team and also a member of the Immigrant Partnership Team, a statewide grassroots network. Our current subgroups include:

    • Sharing Know Your Rights Resources with businesses

    • Shutting down the ICE detention center in Glenwood

    • Protesting local law enforcement collusion with ICE and dissolving the SPEAR taskforce

    • Protesting FLOCK cameras and surveillance

    • Supporting local food distribution efforts

    • Monitoring statewide legislation related to immigrant rights

We hope to include more projects as our volunteer capacity grows.

    We meet twice per month.

    More info here.

  • Help us flood the papers with letters sharing info on what’s going on, encouraging people to take action, and demonstrating the unpopularity of this regime and our solidarity with each other. Commit to writing one letter every five weeks. We can support you with ideas, editing suggestions, and submission instructions.

  • Drawing on the national Visibility Brigade movement, local groups are displaying large banners on pedestrian bridges over I70, Hwy 82, and other well-trafficked roads to amplify pro-democracy, anti-ICE, and anti-war messages. Visibility Brigade actions are happening weekly in Basalt and Glenwood Springs, twice/month in New Castle, and occasionally in Parachute. We welcome additional participants in our existing Brigades and we can provide guidance and Starter Kits for anyone interested in organizing a group to display banners in other locations across our region.

  • Help us post and engage with supporters on Facebook, Instagram, and/or Bluesky.
